The one-line hook
A dead-simple app that's just a real recorded ocean — the wholesome opposite of OnlyFans.
What it is
onlyWAVES is a deliberately tiny app: press play and a real recorded ocean fills the room — for sleep, focus, unwinding, or simply filling a silent space. One serene place plays at a time; the screen is near-black and auto-dimming. There are no menus, no AI soundscapes, and no decisions to make.
It's made by an independent composer working as BreathPlayer (Jeff, jeff@breathplayer.com). The whole thesis is radical simplicity — one beautiful thing, shaped by hand. In an App Store full of AI-generated soundscapes, onlyWAVES is the opposite: a real ocean, made by a person. It's free on the App Store.

An independent composer, BreathPlayer
A real ocean — not AI, not a synth, not a white-noise mixer
The angles
- Internet culture: a wholesome OnlyFans pun that turns out to be, genuinely, just a real recorded ocean — the least-horny, lowest-stakes app on the store.
- The anti-AI story: as AI sleep apps flood the category, one independent composer recorded an actual coast and shaped it by hand. A real ocean vs a model's idea of water.
- The simplicity story: one scene, one button, zero decisions — the App Store antidote to feature-bloat and 90-track mixers.
