Effective date: 19 June 2026
onlyWAVES is a simple app: one quiet ocean, one slow wave. We built it to help you drift off — not to collect data about you.
This policy explains, in plain English, what the app does and doesn't do with information. onlyWAVES is made by BreathPlayer (Jeff). If anything here is unclear, email jeff@breathplayer.com and a real person will answer.
onlyWAVES works without you creating an account or telling us who you are. There is no profile, no email capture, no contact form inside the app, and no way for us to identify you personally.
All of the ocean sounds, wave swells, and tonal beds are bundled inside the app and play entirely on your device — with no streaming, no sign-in, and no account. The app works fully offline. We do not use Firebase Authentication, Firebase Storage, or a database to deliver the audio.
onlyWAVES uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand basic, anonymous usage — for example how many people open the app, which scenes they choose, and how long a session lasts — so we can make it better. We deliberately keep this minimal:
onlyWAVES uses Google Analytics for Firebase for the anonymous usage analytics described above — this is the only third-party service that receives any data. The app also loads two web fonts from Google Fonts. Google processes data according to its own terms and privacy policy:
We don't use any other third-party SDKs for advertising or social tracking.
onlyWAVES is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages to listen to. It is not directed at children under 13 for the purpose of collecting personal data, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app requires no account and collects no personal details, there is nothing for a child (or anyone) to submit. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information, email jeff@breathplayer.com and we'll address it.
Because we don't collect personal information or accounts, there's no personal profile to store, breach, or delete. The anonymous usage data sent to Google Analytics is retained and secured according to Google's standard practices, and is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
If we change how the app handles data, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
Questions, concerns, or just want to say the waves helped? Email jeff@breathplayer.com.
This maps the policy above to the data categories Apple shows on the App Store product page, so the two stay consistent. Because analytics is active in the shipping build, onlyWAVES declares data under "Data Not Linked to You," with "Used to Track You" = No for every item.
| Apple data type | Collected | Linked to you | Used to track you | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers → Device ID | Yes | No | No | Analytics / App Functionality |
| Usage Data → Product Interaction | Yes | No | No | Analytics / App Functionality |
| Name, email, contacts | No | — | — | — |
| Advertising identifiers | No | — | — | — |
| Location, photos, microphone, health | No | — | — | — |
No advertising or third-party-tracking purposes are enabled. Keep the App Store Connect → App Privacy answers in sync with the shipping build.
