Common questions
The audio won't play.
onlyWAVES works fully offline — all the audio is built into the app, so you don't need an internet connection. If you don't hear anything, check that your phone isn't on silent (flip the ring/silent switch so it isn't showing orange) and turn the volume up, then tap a scene and press play.
Does it keep playing when my screen is off?
Yes — it's built to keep the waves going while your phone is locked, so you can fall asleep to it. If playback stops when you lock the screen, make sure onlyWAVES has permission to play audio in the background and that Low Power Mode isn't aggressively suspending it.
How do I set a sleep timer?
Open the timer and pick a duration. The audio fades softly down to silence when the timer ends, so it won't play all night.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up, no login, and no personal details. onlyWAVES works the moment you open it.
Is my data private?
Yes. No account, no ads, no cross-app tracking. We collect only a little anonymous usage data to improve the app, never linked to your identity. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
Is this really a recorded ocean?
Yes — the waves are a real ocean, shaped by hand by an independent composer. Not AI, not a synth, not stacked white-noise layers.
